NeighborWorks Virtual Training Institute - 2020
Given the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, NeighborWorks is creating a new type of training opportunity.
We are pleased to launch our first ever Virtual Training Institute Aug. 17-21, 2020. This Virtual Training Institute will incorporate:
- Faculty-led courses
- Topical workshops
- Networking and peer-learning opportunities
- A special one-day symposium: Resilience Amid Crisis – Preserving and Rebuilding Homeownership and Wealth in Communities of Color
The online training will provide much-needed instruction and best practice-sharing on timely topics, including pandemic response, HUD certification and other affordable housing, nonprofit management and community development subjects.
In addition to these, there will be networking opportunities and afternoon workshops offered by outside thought-leaders.

Scholarships will cover one of the two following trainings:
a wide variety of 90-minute webinars offered throughout the week. Your scholarship would covers up to 5 webinars throughout the week.
one 3- to 4-week faculty-led course meeting weekly until mid-September. The course includes weekly webinars, assignments, reading, peer sharing discussions, and downloadable materials. Faculty-led trainings take about 4 hours per week (12 to 16 hours total).
