Small businesses face constant challenges, even before the pandemic. In order to support our local small business, we need to continually equip those providing technical assistance to entrepreneurs with innovative skills and strategies to strengthen local business. Cambridge College, Mel King Institute for Community Building, and Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation (MGCC) formed a partnership to deliver innovative programming designed to enhance the skills and resources of business development professionals who are committed to the successful launch and growth of small businesses across the Commonwealth.
We are delivering our 5th cycle of the certificate program which is designed to enhance the skills and resources of business development professionals. who are committed to supporting the successful launch and growth of small businesses across the Commonwealth.
The program will offer 6 modules over 12 half days of training (9:30am - 12:30pm) to be held online via Zoom starting in March 2024. The courses will be taught by faculty from Cambridge College, seasoned business professionals and attorneys from the Lawyers for Civil Right
The program modules include:
· Module 1 - Introduction to Small Business Environment
· Module 2 - Business Planning Basics
· Module 3 - Bookkeeping and Forecasting
· Module 4 - Marketing Fundamentals & Brand Management
· Module 5 - Small Business Legal Overview
· Module 6 - Small Business Coaching
The program is open to anyone working as a business counselor or technical assistance provider to small businesses
