Building Foundations Project Manager Training
We are excited to announce the Mel King Institute’s Building Foundations Program in partnership with JPNDC and LISC Massachusetts! The Building Foundations Program is designed to provide flexible, accessible training for emerging and mid-level project managers involved in affordable housing development. The program includes drop-in training sessions that address key topics in affordable housing development, and a Clinic Cohort series for 8-10 committed project managers seeking deeper, hands-on learning and peer support. The curriculum combines theory with practice, incorporating real case studies, interactive exercises, and structured guidance from subject matter experts.
Building Foundations Program Schedule
June 5-6: Building Foundations Program: Affordable Housing Finance Series
Our two-day, in-person intensive covers the financial frameworks crucial to affordable housing development. Over the course of four 3-hour sessions, participants will gain a deep understanding of financial modeling, subsidy strategies, and budget management.
Clinic Cohort Series
Applications for the Clinic Cohort have closed. For those seeking a more hands-on, intensive experience, apply to join our Clinic Cohort, limited to 8-10 participants. The Clinic Cohort consists of 4 in-person sessions, designed for project managers actively working on affordable housing projects, offering a consultative, problem-solving environment with seasoned project managers.
