Description

MKI, in partnership with LISC Massachusetts, is pleased to announce a return of the Innovation Forum series, starting with a timely webinar update on the current landscape and status of federal policy in Congress and actions by the administration affecting the community development sector.

Mark Kudlowitz, Senior Director of Federal Policy at LISC, will join us from Washington to share a presentation that cuts through the swirl of news headlines to ground community development professionals in the current status & impacts of the government shutdown, the federal budget, and actions by both Congress and the Administration. A range of community development topics, programs, and funding sources will be discussed, and portions of the presentation will address the Massachusetts-specific context.

This webinar is open to those working at CDCs, as well as other funders and partners of community development work eager to gain a better understanding of how current federal policy is impacting key programs and the organizations deliver them.

The Mel King Institute’s Innovation Forum is a regular gathering for CDC professionals in Massachusetts to hear from experts on a new challenge or opportunity in the field and discuss adaptive solutions. The Innovation Forum provides a safe space to discuss sometimes contentious topics in community development.
