Understanding and implementing accounting standards can be complex, time-consuming, and often requires requisite skills and expertise not found on the internal finance team. Amanda Pelcher, CPA, Manager of AAFCPAs offers a dynamic presentation addressing questions such as what are the areas of focus; how to digest the information within those financial statements to assess the financial health of the organization; how well  philanthropic dollars are being utilized (i.e. how much is invested in program versus overhead) and how to look for liquidity. The program will be suited for nonprofit professionals in charge of finance and accounting as well as the members of the boards. 

The program is a joint project of Lawyers Clearinghouse, Boston Private, and the Lenny Zakim Fund, and is part of Boston Private’s Community Investment Series with pro bono support of AAFCPAs.
