Social Issue Talk: Revitalizing Communities Through Historic Restoration
A Social Issue Talk featuring Mary Anthony, Director, 1772 Foundation, and 2020 Social Innovator WHALE
About this Event
Please join the Social Innovation Forum (SIF) for lunch and keynote presentation on March 20 as part of our annual Social Issue Talk Series.
Social Innovation Forum (SIF), a Boston-based connector and catalyst for social change, has selected WHALE for the 2020 cohort of the Social Innovator Accelerator. We are one of eight innovative, results-oriented nonprofit organizations in greater Boston that will receive access to more than $150,000 in cash and capacity-building services from SIF and its partners over the next 24 months. WHALE was selected for this honor from a pool of 134 applicants for its unique approach to Revitalizing New Bedford Through Community-based Efforts.
Part of the Social Innovation Forum's role is to help us think more broadly about the field in which we work. With this goal in mind, the Social Innovation Forum will host a series of "Social Issue Talks" throughout the spring. WHALE will be featured at a Social Issue-focused event on Friday, March 20 from 12:00-1:30 pm at Nixon Peabody LLP. First, we will hear from Mary Anthony, Director of the 1772 Foundation. Then, I will present for a few minutes about WHALE's work and current level of impact.
