Small Business Needs for an Equitable Recovery Probing New Public Opinion Data for an Informed Response

Dates:

11:00am - 12:15pm

Can small businesses survive COVID-19?

A new survey from The MassINC Polling Group will help to answer that question during the latest installment of Probing New Public Opinion Data for an Informed Response.

On Thursday, July 23, MassINC and The MassINC Polling Group will present the results from a timely survey of small businesses in Massachusetts, focusing on the impacts of COVID-19 on small businesses.

About the Event

With a special eye for businesses of color, the survey results have identified service and resource gaps, while documenting the experience of Massachusetts small businesses during the pandemic.

Do you think your company will reopen? How many workers have you had to furlough or lay-off? How helpful has local government been during this time? What are the biggest challenges your company faces at this time?

We asked these questions because without an accurate picture of needs, policymakers, non-profits and even small businesses themselves cannot plan for the future.

Speakers and Panelists

During the Zoom call on Thursday, July 23 at 11:00 a.m., The MassINC Polling Group’s Steve Koczela and MassINC’s Dr. Tracy Corley join Juana Matias, COO of MassINC to discuss the poll’s results, implications and discuss the essential question: where do we go from here?

They will be joined by special guest Massachusetts Secretary of Housing and Economic Development Mike Kennealy, who will share the ongoing statewide efforts to support small businesses and boost the economy.
