A Better City and MA Smart Growth Alliance

Join this knowledge-sharing and networking workshop where placemakers will share their paths to successful implementation. You will have the opportunity to learn directly from leaders in the field who regulate, finance, and execute placemaking interventions throughout Massachusetts. During this hands-on event, attendees will develop implementation roadmaps for an array of tactical placemaking projects, including parklets, wayfinding signage, and pavement murals, among others. These roadmaps will outline the steps towards successful execution in Massachusetts, including available resources, relevant regulations, and useful shortcuts.

The workshop is intended for those with some experience in tactical and creative placemaking who are interested in expanding their implementation toolkits and establishing new professional connections. Attendees will include a diverse group of urban planners, property managers, artists, urban designers, CDCs, advocacy groups, public agencies (finance, arts, and transportation), and more. All levels of expertise are welcome. Gear up and join us!
