“Soup to Nuts – Guiding Restaurants to Success”

Request for Proposal (RFP): Train the Trainer: Industry Specific Educators teaching Massachusetts Business Advisors How to Guide Local/Small Restaurant Businesses to Success

Project Description

In order to improve small restaurant businesses in Massachusetts, regional business development agency staff need current, consistent and reliable industry specific information to guide business owners.  However, when it comes to restaurant management information, particularly in the realm of micro and culturally diverse populations, educational material is scattered and irrelevant. Too often business advisors do not have industry proven methodologies and/or the educational material they need to efficiently counsel Massachusetts restaurant owners.   Improving interoperability between business development agencies and industry experts will make critical information available across Massachusetts. The goal of this request for proposal is to identify an industry expert (or team of experts) who will design and deliver a multi-day training for Massachusetts based business advisors in using and accessing current, reliable and proven industry methodologies to help micro and main street restaurants succeed.

Western Mass Business Advisor Collaboration and Mel King Institute  invites proposals from consultants and educators for the “Soup to Nuts – Guiding Restaurants to Success” Training Series.

The purpose of this RFP is to select appropriate consultants and educators to train Massachusetts business advisors and technical assistance providers from Massachusetts based non-profits, community development organizations and CDFI’s.

The selected consultants would plan and execute training sessions based on their identified specialty.
