Online Training Series: The LHA Annual Plan
On May 28 and June 4 join the Mel King Institute, DHCD, Mass Union and Mass Law Reform for two sessions about the Annual Plan. Session 1 will take place from 10:30 - 11:30 on May 28, and Session 2 from 11:00 - 12:00 on June 4.
Over the next year, every Local Housing Authority (LHA) will be required to prepare and post their Annual Plan. This Plan includes the LHA's budget, capital improvement plan, maintenance information, a list of policies, a list of waivers, and more. Residents have the right to weigh in, especially Local Tenant Organizations!
Every Housing Authority is also required to hold a public hearing about their Plan. For Housing Authorities whose fiscal year ends in September, the hearings will be held over the summer. Most will be held using the GoTo Meeting virtual platform which is similar to Zoom. Residents and others can participate in the hearing over the computer OR phone. A computer is not needed!
We hope you will join us on May 28 and/or June 4 to learn more about this exciting opportunity to weigh in on your Housing Authority's Annual Plan.
