This training is only open to nonprofit housing counseling agencies.

Courses begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. Certificates of completion are issued only to participants who have attended and completed 100% of the course. There are no exceptions to this policy.

There is no charge for the course, but all other costs (travel, lodging, etc.) are the participants expense.

A lunch will be provided each day.

Course description: 

How is student loan debt impacting your clients? Learn effective ways to teach borrowers about a wide array of Federal and private student loan products. Obtain the knowledge you need to effectively explain repayment options and their terms. With the information and tools presented in this course, you will be able to help borrowers develop a  strategy or plan to meet the financial responsibility of this type of debt and fully understand the ins and out of default—avoiding and remedying. This course is a great opportunity for your organization to engage a new target audience and provides the tools you need to integrate these services into your existing counseling program.
