Description

Join the Mel King Institute’s Building Foundations Program!

We are excited to announce the Mel King Institute’s Building Foundations Program in partnership with JPNDC and LISC Massachusetts. The Building Foundations Program is designed to provide flexible, accessible training for emerging and mid-level project managers involved in affordable housing development. The program includes drop-in training sessions that address key topics in affordable housing development, and a Clinic Cohort series for 8-10 committed project managers seeking deeper, hands-on learning and peer support. The curriculum combines theory with practice, incorporating real case studies, interactive exercises, and structured guidance from subject matter experts.

Whether you're a seasoned professional or considering a transition from a related field, this program will equip you with the essential skills needed to manage affordable housing developments.

With a mix of in-person and online sessions, you'll gain insights into affordable housing finance, project management best practices, and much more. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to apply for our Clinic Cohort series, where you can receive personalized guidance on your projects.

Mark your calendars and register for the sessions that best fit your needs!

Program Overview:

  • Flexible Training Options: Drop-in sessions that allow you to attend based on your interest and availability.
  • Clinic Cohort: Limited to 8-10 participants, offering hands-on, personalized learning.
  • Focus on Diversity: We aim to increase representation in affordable housing project management, especially for professionals of color and those from adjacent fields like community organizing and economic development.
