Fostering Entrepreneurship through Shared Workspace Models
Dates:
Location:
Sponsored by Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation and MassDevelopment
Incubators, accelerators, makerspaces, and coworking: these buzzwords are all the rage in the tech space to facilitate the rapidly growing innovation ecosystem. How can we leverage these models and create unique productive environments that meet your communities’ needs? How can we use them to develop successful locally based enterprises in urban, rural, immigrant and other traditionally underserved markets?
Find out at this training, where we will review the concepts and business models behind these existing models, learn how to create a project plan and garner support for them, as well as learn about the strategies that lead to success. The first half of the day will feature speakers to provide an overview of the new models and the second half will be an interactive incubation session where experts will provide feedback on business and program ideas.
Speakers include:
- Jen Faigel, Executive Director, Commonwealth Kitchen
- Devin Cole, Director of Business Development, Workbar
- Raj Melville, Executive Director, Deshpande Foundation, Founding Sponsor of EforAll
- Umberto Crenca, Artistic Director, AS220
