COVID Impact on the Massachusetts Latino Community: Developing a Path For Recovery

August 12, 2020
10:30am EST

Have you or someone if your household tested positive for COVID?

Are you confident about Massachusetts school reopening plans?

How has the pandemic economically impacted your household?

Do you support the Black Lives Matter movement?

On Wednesday, August 12th MassINC and the MassINC Polling Group will present the results of a survey of public opinion among Latino residents of Massachusetts. The survey covered a range of policies questions, including voting, the Census, impacts of COVID-19, remote learning experiences, and the pandemic's impact on family financial security.

We asked these questions to assess where Latinos in our Commonwealth stand and help inform a shared policy agenda that speaks to both the short-term and long-term needs of the Latinx community.

During our fourth Zoom forum, MassINC and the MassINC Polling Group will unpack the poll findings, give historical and current context and discuss state and local policies that will impact Latinx residents ability to recover fully from these unprecedented challenges.
