Community Meditation Night at The Mel King Institute
Please join us on the evening of March 22nd for a Community Meditation Night, lead by Gena Bean of Mindful Boston.
Mindful Boston community meditation nights are the perfect way to give mindfulness a try. They are designed to be an easy beginner-level intro to mindfulness. These events are laid-back, welcoming, and completely free!
The length of the meditation itself is usually about 15 to 25 minutes long. No previous experience is required; the meditation will be easy for beginners to understand.
We begin with a brief discussion about meditation, where participants are encouraged to ask questions and share their thoughts.
The styles of meditation currently practiced at community nights include Lovingkindness (metta) Meditation, Seated Awareness Meditation, and Mindful Beat (Drumming). These are all different formats for mindfulness practice.
