The 12th Annual Asian American Womxn In Leadership Conference
First held in 2004 by Asian Sisters Participating in Reaching Excellence (ASPIRE), the Asian American Womxn in Leadership (AAWIL) Conference is an interactive event aimed at growing and developing personal and professional leadership. The conference provides a forum for a cross-generational community of Asian American girls and womxn to share experiences and learn from one another. The program includes a keynote address, small group activities, networking opportunities, workshops, and community building sessions. Conference participants include both high school, college, and graduate school students as well as young, mid-career, and seasoned professionals from around the country.
This year, despite being hosted virtually, the two-day conference is committed to providing an interactive experience for participants. The event is intentionally designed to foster dialogue on important issues that Asian American womxn experience, to build community among participants, and to provide a structured space to reflect on who you want to be. While speakers will offer their expertise and insight into various topics, participants will spend a majority of their time at the conference building connections with others, discussing ideas in small groups, and sharing their thoughts with the community.
